Catherine Parker and Kamal Swami have a long friendship maintained over many years. This series of collaborations between Catherine and Kamal based in India, have evolved over a number of years as they travel beyond their comfort zones tracking to destinations outside their usual shared studio time in Jaisalmer. In 2012 they ventured to Pushkar where they stayed in a friend's farmhouse in the desert at the foothills of the Aravali Mts - here they produced a series of paintings on linen. After 10 days they travelled further afield to the Himalayas to a place called Naggar - a beautiful place to create with minimum distraction amongst peace loving, quiet people. Each day they painted outside under the watchful gaze of the mighty snowy Himalayan peaks. A series of paintings on linen and paper were created embodying a cross cultural dialogue.

Each work on paper is approx 35 x 40cm in size and utilises a combination of natural pigments, watercolour and acrylic on cow dung stained paper, considered sacred

The works at the end of this gallery are acrylic paintings on linen canvas drops, each approx 150 x 50cm
Whilst many of these works are sold we still have a collection should you wish to enquire
